My novels are literary thrillers: stories that combine suspense with psychological and cultural depth. Stalker is a psychological thriller set in Berlin, inspired by my daily bus rides through the city. Violeta, my next work in progress, continues this exploration of exile and hidden lives.

Havana gave me the sense of a city as a labyrinth of secrets. Berlin, where I have built my life, reveals how every street corner hides a story of memory and silence. Beyond these two poles, I have also traveled extensively across Europe — Lisbon, Paris, Vienna, Prague — and each journey leaves fragments that later return in my stories.

I write primarily in Spanish, but I also translate my own work into English and German. Living between languages allows me to think of literature as a bridge. A novel can cross borders and speak to readers who live far from the places I describe, yet recognize the emotions of exile, obsession, and belonging.

I am also in constant dialogue with the writers who shaped my imagination: Vladimir Nabokov, whose Lolita showed me the hypnotic power of language; José Saramago, whose Blindness taught me that allegory and survival can coexist; and Gabriel García Márquez, whose entire body of work revealed to me the porous frontier between memory and myth.
